Christmas concert with a folk twist.
Cecil Sharp House Choir invite you to our annual yuletide celebration crammed with song, dance, music, and good cheer! With special guests including brilliant musicians James Delarre (fiddle) and Saul Rose (melodeon) as the Festive Band, this evening promises to be full of Christmas magic!
Storyteller, singer and writer Matthew Crampton. A critically acclaimed performer of music hall, variety and comic songs, as well as more traditional material, Matthew also co-adapted Peter Bellamy’s The Transports, which won 5 Stars from the Guardian. He has adapted several other works into musical performances and also a wide range of books.
Solo singer Maz O’Connor. Described by The Observer as ‘a highly individual singer-songwriter’, Maz O’Connor is known for her haunting, emotive vocals and poetic lyricism. She has previously won a BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship and her albums have received widespread critical acclaim with Mark Radcliffe describing her latest ‘What I wanted’ (May 2022) as ‘an excellent thing’.
