Moon Jam workshop
August 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm BST
Moon Jam is a collective space for women, non-binary and gender minority musicians to learn traditional music together, with a focus on slow playing and deep listening. It is led by members of Hedera, a Bristol-based instrumental ensemble with backgrounds in music from the Anglo-Celtic Isles, Europe and further afield. Drawn to beautiful and curious tunes from across their broad spectrum of knowledge, they aim to honour the specific idioms and stylistic details of traditional musics, and invite instrumentalists and singers of all abilities to share in the collective experience of playing together. This Moon Jam will be open to all genders but we request that quieter voices are allowed to take the centre of the space.
