Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival

January 13 @ 8:00 pm - January 14 @ 8:00 pm GMT

Free

The Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival takes place annually, most commonly over the weekend following Plough Monday. The history of the Whittlesea Straw Bear is shrouded in mystery, but the revival version is alive and well and has developed into a festival-cum-carnival, replete with multiple Morris sides and plenty of musicians.

While normal years are more full affairs, 2023 finds the organisers still taking COVID precautions. Therefore, the events this year are slightly more limited.
