Simon Brock is a skilled clog maker and leatherworker, as well as being Dance Captain at Handsworth Traditional Sword Dancers. Starting his journey in clog making in 2010 under mentor Trefor Owen, he became one of the few full-time makers in this critically endangered craft. He has won awards for his work in hand-cutting clog soles.
As the clog dancing calendar kicks off with Lancashire Wallopers’ Weekend of Step Clog Dance (10th-11th February), clog maker, Simon Brock, takes a look at this very British craft.
